When our fax queue jammed last month, I built a β€˜FaxFail’ smartphrase in the EHR that stamps MRN/date, the intended recipient, and auto-creates a resend task to a shared queue, so I can move fast and still track exactly what was attempted. Small caveat: it only helps if your e‑fax shows delivery status β€” if it doesn’t, I add a quick β€˜two identifiers’ check before the resend to prevent misfires.

I’ve had good luck with a simple β€œFax Ping” at 10 and 3 β€” an auto test fax to our top five destinations β€” and an Epic rule that routes any no-confirmation to a small β€œFaxWatch” pool so we pivot to Direct secure messaging before a backlog starts. If your system can’t do rules, a shared Outlook rule on failure emails into a β€œFaxWatch” folder worked for us too, @LenaH. Small caveat: it only helps if that top-five list stays current, so I review it monthly.

, we had the same wave of questions β€” adding a tiny β€œno stunning” note with a QR code on receipts that links to the HMC audit summary and batch records cut repeats by half; since your audit was last Tuesday, put that date front and center. Small caveat: give staff a 30‑sec script on welfare points (Qibla, razor‑sharp blade) so they don’t get stuck in long explanations.
